Reader's Edition Greek New Testaments:  Options for Purchase

Reader's editions of the GNT have footnotes at the bottom of the page, referencing every word on the page that is used 30 times or less in the NT.

There are hundreds and hundreds of words used only once in the NT.  It is a poor use of your time to even begin to try and memorize all of them.

Rather, you want to memorize the 481 words (yes...there are only 481 of them!!) that are used 31+ times.

Once you get those 481 words wired into your brain, you can use your reader's edition GNT to easily read in Greek, without the use of a computer or mobile phone.

There are three good options for you to choose between.  There will be minor wording differences between them, in places where their editors made different decisions about what the original biblical author wrote.  But ~99% of the text will be identical.

You can find what is available for purchase by going to Amazon and doing a search for:

Reader's Edition Greek New Testament

I will include below links that are valid as of March 26, 2022.

These two editions follow the book order that we find in our English Bibles.

There is a third volume available that will serve you well.  However, it is a little difficult to navigate as it does not follow the traditional order of books in our English Bibles.  Rather, it follows the order that was used by Christians for the first five centuries.  So it is the order found in early Greek manuscripts:

Once you get accustomed to that order, you will find this volume as useful as the UBS5 or the volume edited by Goodrich.

No matter what edition you get, you want to see the words "Reader's Edition" or "Reader's" in the title.
